Terms and Conditions for Continuing Professional Education Pty Ltd

1. Interpretation
1.1. In this document the following words shall have the following meanings:
1.1.1. “CPE” represents both Continuing Professional Education Pty Ltd and Continuing Professional Education Travel Pty Ltd; the staff and agents.
1.1.2. “Delegate” means any person who has paid a registration fee to attend a conference organised by CPE. 
1.1.3. "Terms and Conditions" means the terms and conditions of supply set out in this document and any special terms and conditions agreed in writing. 
1.1.4. “Multiple registration” is more than one registration in a transaction (either more than one person, more than one conference). . 
1.1.5. “Non-delegate” is a person accompanying a delegate to an event organised by CPE. 

2. Conference Registration
2.1. Registration entitles a delegate to attend all academic sessions organised by CPE, excluding the cost of transport on field trips. There may be a fee charged for some academic sessions based on entry fees charged by external third parties. 
2.2. Multiple registration and its associated rates is based on more than one registration in a transaction (either more than one person, more than one conference). 
2.3. Non-delegates are able to attend all conference events however they are not able to receive a certificate of attendance without paying registration. 
2.4. Conference Registration entitles the delegates and accompanying non-delegates to the welcome drinks event. 
2.5. No refunds will be given on registration fees. Registration can be transferred to another event within occurring within the 12 months from the date of the original conference purchased. It is recommended that you have appropriate travel insurance for the event once you have paid for registration. 
2.6 General Registration for EOFY 2020 is not subject to 2.5 whilst it is unallocated. Prior to allocation to a specific conference, general registration for EOFY 2020 is refundable.


3. Conference Accommodation
3.1. Accommodation rates for the conference hotel are valid within seven calendar days of the date quoted. 
3.2. Accommodation availability and rates are subject to change according to supply and international exchange rate fluctuations. 
3.3. An accommodation booking at the conference hotel is not confirmed until payment has been made in full. 
3.4. Conference accommodation payment and refund policies are bound by the contract conditions imposed on CPE by the hotel or supplier. 

3.5 Cancellation Policy
Accommodation bookings are non-refundable. CPE will actively assist with achieving a refund but availability of such refunds is at the discretion of the hotel.

4. Payment
4.1. Surcharges apply for all credit card transactions.

5. Liability
5.1. CPE shall not be liable under any circumstances to the delegate or any third party for any injury, loss or damage suffered whilst attending a CPE Conference whether it is indirect or consequential loss of profit or other loss suffered howsoever caused, as a result of any negligence, breach of contract, misrepresentation or otherwise. 

6. Force Majeure
6.1. CPE shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of its obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, lock outs, accidents, war, acts of terror, fire, natural disasters, pandemic illness, strikes, border controls etc. 

These Terms and Conditions are effective from 1 July 2016 and have been updated on 29 May 2020.
