Please note that although we have a provision for the academic sessions below, the Academic Agenda will remain fluid until the final agenda is provided to you at the Welcome Drinks. 


The Attendee App
We have introduced a conference Attendee App, which is where the most up to date information for the Social Agenda and Academic Program will be noted. The Attendee App will be released in the week leading up to the conference. All details below are subject to change. 


Ski Tours, Additional Activities and Après Ski Hour
Whistler Blackcomb, in combination with Pan Pacific Whistler, offers free daily orientation tours for skiing, snowboarding and sightseeing. There are also free avalanche awareness tours that are run by the Whistler Blackcomb Ski Patrol that covers safe travel, terrain evaluation, avalanche phenomenon, control measures within boundary, avalanche safety equipment and rescue techniques. You will have a chance to express your interest in a ski guide or the free daily orientations on the Activity Registration & Ski Hire Form. The CPE Conferences team will then be able to give you further details from the week commencing 24th December 2018.

Après Ski Hour is hosted at the hotel from 4:00pm - 5:00pm daily. This will allow you to mingle with your fellow delegates, the General Manager and other guests at the hotel. This includes wine or beer for the adults and hot chocolate and cookies for the kids.

There are many other winter activities on offer such as Snowmobiling, Dog Sledding Tours, Fondue Tour, and Bobsleigh / Skeleton tours. These can be arranged through the concierge at the Pan Pacific Whistler Village (subject to availability).


Day 1: Monday 7 January | Arrival Coach, Welcome Drinks & Welcome Dinner

Arrival Coach Transfer - Vancouver to Whistler

For those delegates travelling from Vancouver to Whistler on Monday 7th January, we have arranged for a luxury coach with ample space to start your journey off in comfort and style. Pick up locations are as follows: 

Pick up location 1:
8:00am – Vancouver Holding Lot, Vancouver International Airport (for those arriving into Vancouver that morning, or staying in an airport hotel on the night of the 6th January). Bus will leave at 8:15am (if you are delayed, please contact Trudy or Lorenzo who will speak with the driver).
Pick up location 2:

9:00am departure – Pan Pacific Hotel, Vancouver (meeting point for those staying in downtown Vancouver prior to the conference) 
Drop off: 
*11:00am - Gateway Loop near Pan Pacific, Whistler.

*Timings are approximate as they depend on road traffic and may be slightly delayed.

At Vancouver Airport - you will be met by an arrivals host with a sign saying “CPE Conferences – Boccabella”. You will then be marked off the transfer list and taken to the bus for your transfer to Whistler.

At Pan Pacific Downtown - the bus will stop temporarily to pick up passengers. Please be ready for a 9:00am departure.

Upon arrival in Whistler - you will be dropped off at the Gateway Loop in front of the Visitor Center. This is a 5 minute walk from the hotel entrance. Your bags will be offloaded onto a minibus and delivered straight to the hotel. 

Cost
Adults: $65 one way or $125 return journey
Children (0-15): $50 one way or $90 return journey

Inclusions:
Pick up Vancouver, drop off Whistler (one way or return)

Please note there are only 50 seats on this bus, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

6:00pm to 6:55pm - Welcome Drinks at Garibaldi Lift Co. Bar and Grill
Meet at Garibaldi Lift Co, Bar and Grill

Meet and greet with your speakers, delegates and conference team over a wine or a beer as you take in views of Whistler Blackcomb Mountain. 

Cost:
 As this is a complimentary event, your drinks are included.

Welcome Dinner Araxi with CPE Conferences group for Whistler Conference

7:00pm to late - Welcome Dinner at The Cellar by Araxi
Less than a 5 minute walk from the Welcome Drinks to The Cellar by Araxi.

Following the welcome drinks, enjoy a delicious 3 course dinner in the beautiful cellar of the Araxi Restaurant. Araxi's contemporary regional cuisine is crafted from the finest and freshest local ingredients; the internationally awarded wine list is deep and global, and the artful decor provides an elegant and relaxed atmosphere in the heart of the village.

Cost: $185 per person
Venue: Araxi Restaurant, 110 - 4222 Village Square, Whistler, BC V0N 1B4, Canada (3 minute walk from the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre or 3 minute walk from the Welcome Drinks venue)
Inclusions: Dinner includes a 3 course meal with wine.

Food and Wine Tasting Networking Activity with CPE Conferences on Whistler Conference

5:00pm to 9:00pm - Food and Wine Tasting Tour
Meet in the foyer of the Pan Pacific Whistler Village at 4:45pm.

After a full day on the slopes, we invite you to take part in a food and wine tour, exploring some of the best restaurants that Whistler has to offer. Here you will visit 4 eateries that are off the beaten track, but popular amongst Whistler locals. Whistler Tasting Tours will be guiding us through 4 delicious courses at 4 local favourite restaurants, and have been awarded the coveted 'Canadian Signature Experience' designation by the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC). 

Please note that there will be a local fee of $29.99 Canadian per person to add on wine pairings to the food tour. If you are interested in pairing your wine to your food, please ensure you bring your credit card so you can pay the supplier directly on the evening. 

Cost: $150 per person
Venue: Your tour guide will meet you in the foyer of the Pan Pacific, Whistler Village
Inclusions: 4 food courses at 4 restaurants, walking tour guide, all taxes and $5 per person gratuity
Dress Code: Smart Casual, with comfortable walking shoes
Note: This food tour is a walking tour. Please bear this in mind when booking as refunds are not permitted. Guests must also be able to comfortably walk half a kilometre in order to participate on this tour.


Day 6: Saturday 12 January | Social & Academic

8:15am to 12:00pm - Superfly Winter Zipline Tour
There are 2 groups which will be decided prior to check in. You will be required to meet in the foyer of the Pan Pacific Whistler Village at either 8:15am or 8:45am (depending on which group you are in) for the 10 minute walk to the meeting point. Here you will need to check in and sign paperwork. The supplier will then take you to the mini bus to the Zipline.

Fly through our winter wonderland on the world’s most spectacular custom built ziplines - one of the best adventures in the world! Your tour starts with a custom 4×4 climb up Rainbow Mountain, at the top, we will get you ready to soar across mountain valleys and through old growth forests on four dual ziplines. Highlighted by Canada’s longest ziplines at well over a kilometre long and 600 feet high, you will reach speeds up to 100 km/hour as you fly through the BC backcountry.

Cost: $190 per adult, $160 per child (between 7 and 12 years old) This includes the gratuity for the guide.

What to bring: Ski / snowboard suit, warm boots, sunglasses / snow goggles, warm gloves, camera
Inclusions: Bus pick up, zipline access, drop off
Note:
This tour is a 3 hour round trip from pick up (including check in and shuttle to the base). Children under 7 are not able to join this tour.

Once we have final numbers for this tour, you will be split into your groups and emailed your time approximately 1 week prior to the tour.

Day 7: Sunday 13 January | Social

6:00pm to 9:00pm - Farewell Dinner at the Fire and Ice Show
Meet at the entrance to Garibaldi Lift Co, Bar and Grill at 6:00pm

The last evening takes us back to where we had our welcome drinks, but this time there's a Fire & Ice Show to view! Here you can see Whistler's best skiers and riders jump and flip through a blazing ring of fire accompanied by fire spinners, a DJ and a fireworks display. Shared platters of all types of North American cuisine will be served inside the upper section of the GLC, an area which provides views of the show.
Please note you may prefer to walk outside for a better view.

Cost: $145 per person
Venue: Village Patio, Garibaldi Lift Co. Bar & Grill, 4165 Springs Ln, Whistler, BC V0N 1B0, Canada
Inclusions: Dinner and wine, and great views of the show. Dinner will be pre selected share platters (a lot of food!)
Note: Please note that the farewell dinner is capped at 60 people, so this will be on a first come first served basis.


Day 8: Monday 14 January | Departure Day

Departure Coach Transfer - Whistler to Vancouver

For those delegates travelling from Whistler to Downtown Vancouver and Vancouver Airport on Monday 14th January, we have arranged for a luxury coach with ample space to continue your travels in comfort and style. Approximate timings are as follows:

Departure location:
7:45am – Gateway Loop near Pan Pacific, Whistler (please be at the foyer of Pan Pacific Whistler at 7:30am for your luggage to be taken)
Drop off location 1: 
*9:45am – Pan Pacific Vancouver
Drop off location 2: 
*10:45am - Vancouver International Airport (for those departing Vancouver, or staying in an airport hotel)

*Timings are approximate as they depend on road traffic and may be slightly delayed.

Whistler departures leave from the Gateway Loop which is in front of the Visitor Centre. This is a 5 minute walk from the hotel entrance. Your bags will be loaded onto a minibus at the hotel and taken straight onto the coach. 

For those who wish to store luggage for the day, you can do so at the Pan Pacific Vancouver for $5 (canadian) per item. This is based on a first come first serve basis as storage facilities are very limited so it also depends on the amount of luggage.

Children (0-15): $50 one way

CPE Conferences have contracted rates for ski lift passes, performance equipment hire (ski only and package) and sports equipment hire (ski only and package).

The prices below are the most popular options. If you can't see what you are after, you will have a chance to provide your preferences on the activity registration form. A member of the CPE Conference Team will then be in touch with prices and availability.

Book your activities, ski lift passes and equipment hire

To book any of the above activities, ski lift passes and equipment hire, please complete the Activity Registration Form that was emailed to you previously with the Social Agenda Release email. Please complete one form per delegate.
 If your accompanying person is also attending the conference as a delegate please ask them to complete the form that was emailed to their email address.

Please note that activities are non-refundable as we must adhere to the suppliers terms and conditions. Please ensure that you have adequate Travel Insurance - if you don't have this, then you can contact CPE Travel to purchase a policy. 


Important Information about Visa Requirements!

It is very important that prior to the conference you have checked the visa requirements for travelling to Whistler, Canada. Visa conditions may differ depending on which country your passport is from. 

Please visit https://visalink.com.au/requirements or talk to your local embassy/consulate for the most up to date visa information. Please also note that most countries require 6 months validity remaining on your passport. 

Without a valid visa or passport, you may be denied boarding. CPE Conferences will assist with your visa enquiries, but it is the delegates responsibility to ensure that they obtain a valid visa if required.
