Please note that although we have a provision for the academic sessions below, the Academic Agenda will remain fluid until the final agenda is provided to you at the Welcome Drinks. 


The Attendee App
We have introduced a conference Attendee App, which is where the most up to date information for the Social Agenda and Academic Program will be noted. The Attendee App will be released in the week leading up to the conference. All details below are subject to change. 


Important Information about Visa Requirements!

It is very important that prior to the conference you have checked the visa requirements for travelling to Whistler, Canada. Visa conditions may differ depending on which country your passport is from. 

Please visit https://visalink.com.au/requirements or talk to your local embassy/consulate for the most up to date visa information. Please also note that most countries require 6 months validity remaining on your passport. 

Without a valid visa or passport, you may be denied boarding. CPE Conferences will assist with your visa enquiries, but it is the delegates responsibility to ensure that they obtain a valid visa if required. 


Day 1: Monday 7 January | Arrival Coach, Welcome Drinks & Welcome Dinner

Arrival Coach Transfer - Vancouver to Whistler

For those delegates travelling from Vancouver to Whistler on Monday 7th January, we have arranged for a luxury 54 seater coach with ample space to start your journey off in comfort and style. Pick up locations are as follows: 

Pick up Location 1: 7.15am – Vancouver International Airport (for those arriving into Vancouver, or staying in an airport hotel)
Pick up Location 2: *Approximately 8.30am – Pan Pacific Vancouver (meeting point for those staying downtown prior to the conference) 
Drop off: *Approximately 10.30am - Gateway Loop near Pan Pacific, Whistler

*Exact times will be determined 2 weeks prior to the departure date

Upon arrival in Whistler you will be dropped off at the Gateway Loop in front of the Visitor Centre. This is a 5 minute walk from the hotel entrance. Your bags will be offloaded onto a minibus and delivered straight to the hotel. 

Seats are subject to availability and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Welcome Drinks

Meet and greet your speakers, delegates and conference team over a cocktail as you take in views of Whistler Blackcomb Mountain. 

Cost:
 As this is a complimentary event, your drinks are included.
Venue:
Village Patio, Garibaldi Lift Co. Bar & Grill. This is a 6 minute walk from the Pan Pacific Whistler Village 


Welcome Dinner Araxi with CPE Conferences group for Whistler Conference

Welcome Dinner

Following the welcome drinks, enjoy a delicious 3 course dinner in the beautiful cellar of the Araxi Restaurant. Araxi's contemporary regional cuisine is crafted from the finest and freshest local ingredients; the internationally awarded wine list is deep and global, and the artful decor provides an elegant and relaxed atmosphere in the heart of the village.

Venue: Araxi Restaurant (3 minute walk from the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre or 3 minute walk from the Welcome Drinks venue)
Inclusions: Dinner includes a 3 course dinner with wine.

Helicopter and Glacier Landing Experience networking event with CPE Conferences

[Time] to [Time] - Helicopter and Glacier Landing Experience

The BC Experience tour gives you an extraordinary bird’s eye view of the Whistler-Blackcomb Resort followed by the magnificent beauty of the Cheakamus Glacier and a unique immersion in the famous Garibaldi Provincial Park. After this stunning adventure, the helicopter will land and you will get to experience the once in a lifetime chance of stepping out onto a 12,000-year-old glacier on Rainbow Mountain.

Venue: Rainbow Mountain and the skies above Whistler Blackcomb
Inclusions: Hotel pick up and drop off, 25 minutes flight and landing time. Max of 5/6 passengers per helicopter. Please note that Glacier landing is weather dependant. You will receive no refund if the helicopter cannot land on the Glacier due to weather conditions.

Food and Wine Tasting Networking Activity with CPE Conferences on Whistler Conference

17.00 to 21.00 - Food and Wine Tasting Tour

After a full day on the slopes, we invite you to take part in a food and wine tour, exploring some of the best restaurants that Whistler has to offer. Here you will visit 4 eateries that are off the beaten track, but popular amongst Whistler locals. Whistler Tasting Tours will be guiding us through 4 delicious courses at 4 local favourite restaurants, and have been awarded the coveted 'Canadian Signature Experience' designation by the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC). 

Please note that there will be a local fee of $29.99 Canadian pp to add on wine pairings to the food tour. If you are interested in pairing your wine to your food, please ensure you bring your credit card so you can pay directly to the supplier.

Venue: Start point is the Audain Art Museum, a 5 minute walk from Pan Pacific, Whistler Village
Inclusions: 4 food courses at 4 restaurants, walking tour guide

18.30 to 21.00 - Farewell Dinner at the Fire and Ice Show

The last evening takes us back to where it all began at the Fire & Ice Show, where you can see Whistler's best skiers and riders jump and flip through a blazing ring of fire accompanied by fire spinners, a DJ and a fireworks display. Dinner will be served in the heated patio of the Garibaldi Lift Co (GLC), which overlooks the mountain side patio and has a great view of the show.

Inclusions: Dinner and great views of the show (show is free of charge)
Note: Please note that dinner is capped at 60 people, so this will be on a first come first served basis.


Day 8: Monday 14 January | Departure Day

Departure Coach Transfer - Whistler to Vancouver

For those delegates travelling from Whistler to Downtown Vancouver and Vancouver Airport on Monday 14th January, we have arranged for a luxury 54 seater coach with ample space to start your journey off in comfort and style. Approximate timings are as follows:

Pick up location: 8.15am – Gateway Loop near Pan Pacific, Whistler
Drop off location 1: *Approximately 10.00am – Pan Pacific Vancouver
Drop off location 2: *Approximately 10.45am - Vancouver International Airport (for those departing Vancouver, or staying in an airport hotel)

*Exact times will be determined 2 weeks prior to the departure date

Whistler departures leave from the Gateway Loop which is in front of the Visitor Centre. This is a 5 minute walk from the hotel entrance. Your bags will be loaded onto a minibus at the hotel and taken straight onto the coach. 

Seats are subject to availability and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.


Book your activities

To book any of the above activities, please complete the Activity Registration Form that was emailed to you previously with the Social Agenda Release email. Please complete one form per delegate. If your accompanying person is also attending the conference as a delegate please ask them to complete the form that was emailed to their email address.

Please note that activities are non-refundable as we must adhere to the suppliers terms and conditions. Please ensure that you have adequate Travel Insurance - if you don't have this, then you can contact CPE Travel to purchase a policy.
