The Attendee App
We have introduced a conference Attendee App, which is where the most up to date information for the Social Agenda and Academic Program will be noted. The Attendee App will be released in the week leading up to the conference. All details below are subject to change.
Important Information about Visa Requirements!
It is very important that prior to the conference you have checked the visa requirements for travelling to New York, USA. Visa conditions may differ depending on which country your passport is from.
Please visit https://visalink.com.au/requirements or talk to your local embassy/consulate for the most up to date visa information. Please also note that most countries require 6 months validity remaining on your passport.
Without a valid visa or passport, you may be denied boarding. CPE Conferences will assist with your visa enquiries, but it is the delegates responsibility to ensure that they obtain a valid visa if required.

Day 2: Sunday 30 December 2018 | Social
9:15am to 12:15pm - Harlem Gospel Walking Tour
Every Sunday, many churches in the upper Manhattan neighbourhood of Harlem play host to some of the most inspirational gospel choirs in the world. The Harlem Gospel Walking Tour provides delegates with the opportunity to visit one of Harlem’s most historic churches and partake in a walking tour led by a local guide who is Harlem born and raised. The guide will convey to you the neighbourhoods 400 year old history (with a lot of attention on the faith based and religious community) and show you the sights pertaining to art, music, food architecture, politics and culture.
Cost: $75 per person
Meeting Venue: Harlem Heritage Tourism and Cultural Center, 104 Malcolm X Blvd
Inclusions: Locally guided tour of Harlem, including insight into the historical churches
Important: Please note that no video recording or pictures allowed in the church. Backpacks can be left in the supplier office while attending the church service.
Day 3: Monday 31 December 2018 | Academic & Social
1.00pm - 5.00pm - Academic Session in the Conference Room of the Parker Hotel
New Year’s Eve Cruise
Time: 8:00pm (boarding) Monday 31 December 2018 until 1:00am Tuesday 1st January 2019.
Join us as we celebrate New Year’s Eve on the Hudson River, setting sail into 2019 in the exclusive comfort of the private Captains Quarters. Leave 2018 behind as you embark from Pier 40 – make sure you gaze out of the windows to witness one of the world’s most famous skylines pass you by. As you sail past the Empire State Building and under the Brooklyn Bridge, you’ll quickly discover that this 4 hour round trip has something for everyone on board. A buffet dinner, unlimited drinks (4 hours of open bar - alcoholic and non-alcoholic ), a live DJ, dancing, a champagne toast at midnight will culminate with the most fantastic view of the New Year’s Eve fireworks over Manhattan Island as we dock by the Statue of Liberty for the bells. Whilst the Captain’s Quarters gives you exclusivity, a private bar and buffet for you and your fellow delegates, you will also get access to all other sections of the boat.

Meeting Point: Pier 40 at 8.00pm
Inclusions: Boat ticket, buffet dinner, unlimited drinks, cruise, midnight champagne, private access to Captain’s Quarters.
Important: Please note that due to alcohol age restrictions in the United States of America, this cruise is an over 21 cruise only.
Day 4: Tuesday 01 January 2019 | Networking Day
No social activities or academic sessions have been scheduled for this day.
Day 5: Wednesday 02 January 2019 | Social
9:30am to 10:30am - MOMA: Access Before Hours
Join this exclusive private guided tour scheduled to start before the museum is open to the public! This is a fantastic opportunity to peruse the 'place that fuels creativity, ignites minds and provides inspiration' in a private setting prior to the opening of the main doors of the museum. The Museum of Modern Art is one of the largest and most influential museums of modern art in the world, with the idea primarily developed by Abby Rockefeller (the daughter-in-law of John D. Rockefeller, widely considered as the richest American of all time, and the wife of John D. Rockefeller Jnr who was behind the construction of the Rockefeller Center).
Cost: $99 per person
Venue: MoMA (Museum of Modern Art), 11 West 53rd St, New York, NY 10019
Inclusions: 1hr private guided tour (including some of the exhibitions) and admission that
Day 6: Thursday 03 January 2019 | Social
7:30pm - Kurt Elling at Birdland (Jazz)
Join us and your fellow delegates for a fantastic New York dinner and jazz experience at Birdland. The theatre itself is a cabaret style venue with a bar and an Italian menu.
Jazz is a staple of the New York diet. Primarily relocated to the Big Apple from Chicago in the 1920’s, nearly every major jazz style in the past 70 years has been initiated in New York. The club itself has cemented itself in New York jazz history and has played host to a vast selection of the best jazz musicians in the world.
Kurt Elling has been on the jazz circuit for many years, recording scat since the early 1990’s. Elling himself was born in Chicago, the home of the blues, and has won a Grammy for best Vocal Jazz Album (he has also been nominated for 9 others!)

To book any of the above activities, please complete the Activity Registration Form that was emailed to you previously with the Social Agenda Release email. Please complete one form per delegate. If your accompanying person is also attending the conference as a delegate please ask them to complete the form that was emailed to their email address.
Please note that activities are non-refundable as we must adhere to the suppliers terms and conditions. Please ensure that you have adequate Travel Insurance - if you don't have this, then you can contact CPE Travel to purchase a policy.
