Self Assessment & CPD for your College

Many colleges require their members to self-assess their own CPD points. The number of claimable points/credits/hours varies depending on the college and also whether or not you are a speaker or a delegate. In general, speakers will be able to attract more CPD points than delegates.  After each conference you will be provided with a Certificate of Attendance and the academic agenda for your CPD/CME records.

Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP)

Based on our reading of the RACP's 2018 myCPD Framework, most sessions do attract one credit per hour (max 50 credits annually) under the Category 'Educational Development, Teaching & Research' for Speakers and  one credit per hour (max 50 credits annually) under the Category 'Group Learning' for delegates.

Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR)

The RANZCR CPD Program is a self-directed and self-reporting program. It is our understanding that Radiologists that attend CPE Conferences would fall under Category 5 - Publications and Presentations for Speakers and Category 6 - Attendance at Conferences and Meetings for General Delegates.

Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS)

Based on our reading of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons Continuing Professional Development Guide (2017), most sessions attract points under Category Three: Maintenance and knowledge of skills at 1 point per hour for delegates and a total of 10 points per presentation for a speaker (max 20 per annum).

Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG)

Based on our reading of the CPD-Curriculum Framework outlined by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, sessions could attract points under Professional Development under the Competency of 'Exhibit ethical attitudes and conduct' for Medico-legal content and 'Provide effective team management and leadership in the workplace' either for speakers or for sessions that focus on business skills.

Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists

According to our reading of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists Continuing Professional Development Standard, Anaesthetists can allocate self-directed CPD points for the conferences. CPE Conferences fall under the category of 'Knowledge and Skills'. For Delegates, lecture content will attract 1 credit per hour. For Speakers, 10 credits per presentation are claimable.
