Accreditation in Australia

At CPE Conferences, we do things a little differently. Firstly, our conferences do not have a set theme. And, unlike other conferences, our academic agenda remains provisional until you receive your delegate pack at the welcome drinks event.

All Australian dentists must complete a minimum of 60 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours over three years as a condition of continued registration with the Dental Board of Australia. In each triennium 80 per cent of the minimum 60 CPD hours must be clinically or scientifically based. CPE Conferences meet the course provider standards outlined in the Dental Board’s guidelines to continuing professional development. Our conferences generally qualify for the 20% of the compulsory CPD point requirement which is not clinically or scientifically based, as they examine how the law affects the practice of all aspects of medicine

More about CPD

Where there is a compulsory continuing professional development (CPD) program in an Australian state, CPE’s conferences qualify for points through self-accreditation schemes or direct application (when required).

Our conferences can assist you in meeting your CPD requirements for the purpose of renewing your practising certificate. CPE Conferences’ delegates have claimed points with the following associations and societies:

  • Law Society of ACT
  • ACT Bar
  • Law Society of NSW
  • NSW Bar
  • Law Society Northern Territory
  • Queensland Law Society
  • QLD Bar
  • The Law Society of South Australia
  • SA Bar
  • The Law Society of Tasmania
  • Law Institute of Victoria
  • VIC Bar
  • WA Legal Practice Board (We are an approved QA Provider under “Continuing Professional Education Pty Ltd”)

Australian legal professionals are required to complete at least 10 CPD points over the course of an annual registration period. Across the board, one hour of delegate participation at an academic conference equates to one CPD point/unit with any Australian legal association or society. With many associations, speaking at a conference increases the number of points per hour of participation. We encourage all delegates and speakers to familiarise themselves with the requirements of their individual association or society.

CPE Conferences’ success as a quality CPD provider is not based on a formula but is an exciting kaleidoscope of internationally crafted academic and social programs perfected over the last 23 years by a team of professionals, for professionals.

Expect a broad and comprehensive academic program delivered by speakers that are innovative leaders in the fields of Law, Medicine, Business and Technology. But also expect the unexpected! Unlike other conferences, our academic agenda remains fluid until the commencement of the conference. This enables us to capitalise on the educational opportunities presented by both the location and the constant changes in global current affairs and technology faced by legal, medical and dental professionals in the 21st century.

Our speakers share their insights with you in an informal setting conducive to fostering an increase in both knowledge and networking prospects as well as the enrichment of your CPD experience. Our bespoke programs provide a dynamic, relevant and rewarding experience that broadens the mind through a cross-pollination of ideas, across a diverse range of cultures and professions.
