Please note that although we have a provision for the academic sessions below, the Academic Agenda will remain fluid until the final agenda is provided to you at the Welcome Drinks. 

The Attendee App
We have introduced a conference Attendee App, which is where the most up to date information for the Social Agenda and Academic Program will be noted. The Attendee App will be released in the week leading up to the conference. All details below are subject to change. 

Day 1: Saturday 29 September | Welcome Drinks & Dinner

GOJA Terrace for CPE Conferences Welcome Drinks event

5:45pm to 6:30pm - Welcome Drinks

Enjoy spectacular views across Barcelona whilst meeting your fellow delegates over a drink to welcome the conference week ahead. We welcome all delegates and their accompanying persons to attend this event. 

Cost: This is a complimentary event
Venue: GOJA Terrace, Rooftop of the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel

Tapas tour Welcome Dinner with CPE Conferences

7:00pm to 10:00pm - Welcome Dinner - 'Tapas like a Local'
6:30pm - Meet in the foyer of the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel to walk to the meeting point for the tour. 

Tapas food and Spanish culture are interwoven in this walking tour to iconic bars each known for a particular tapas variety or alcoholic tipple. Here, you will visit buzzing bodegas in a trendy up and coming neighborhood. Our expert guide will take us to 4 locations in the Sant Antonio Neighbourhood to taste 8 types of tapas and 5 local drinks. 

Cost: $140 AUD per person

Day 2: Sunday 30 September | Networking Day

9:00am to 1:00pm - Private Gaudí Experience Tour
8:45am - Meet in the foyer of the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel

You simply cannot visit Barcelona without immersing oneself into the history of the incredible Antoni Gaudí, whose work helped define the movement known as 'Catalan Modernism' and makes Barcelona the architectural marvel it is today. You will struggle to find a more breathtaking sight than the inside of perhaps the most famous of all Gaudí’s designs, La Sagrada Família, Barcelona's most famous catholic church. On this tour you will visit some of his work learning about the history of the buildings and the fascinating life of Antoni Gaudí.

Cost: $120 AUD per person
Inclusions: Guided walking tour to visit Casa Batlló (exterior only), Block of Discord, Casa Milà (interior visit), metro to La Sagrada Família (internal visit without towers). 

Day 3: Monday 01 October | Academic Field Activity

9:00am - Academic Session: A Private Guided Tour of Spanish Civil War
8:30am - Meet in the foyer of the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel

Lead by Historian and author Nick Lloyd, this tour is a walking museum of the Spanish Civil War.

Cost: There is no cost for delegates. Accompanying persons are welcome to attend for a cost of $35 AUD per person

Day 4: Tuesday 02 October | Academic

3:30pm to 7:30pm - Academic Session

Venue: Ametista Conference Room at the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel

Day 5: Wednesday 03 October | Academic & Social

9:00pm to 10:30pm - A night at Palau de la Música
8:15pm - Meet in the foyer of the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel to walk to the entrance of the Palau de la Música

Barcelona’s famous venue Palau de la Musica hosts one of Spain’s greatest living flamenco guitarists Pedro Javier González, and a troupe of accompanists and iconic flamenco dancers. This will truly be an authentic Spanish cultural experience and is not one to miss.  

Cost: $115 AUD per person
Venue: Palau de la Música, 4-6, 08003 Barcelona, Spain
Inclusions: Ticket only
Note: There are very limited tickets available for this event. Book early to avoid disappointment. 

Day 6: Thursday 04 October | Academic & Social

1:00pm to 5:00pm - Academic Session

Venue: Ametista Conference Room at the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel


5:30pm to 7:30pm - Sunset Sailing
4:45pm - Meet in the foyer of the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel

Discover a new Barcelona dressed with magnificent colours on the deck of a luxury sailing yacht. Guided by a professional skipper as the sun sets while you sit back and enjoy the view with snacks and a glass of Catalán cava. This tour is a great way to experience an authentic Mediterranean way of life! 

Cost: $155 AUD per person
Inclusions: 2 hour sail, professional skipper, light snacks (olives, cheese, crackers, salami) and drinks (beer, wine, cava, soft drink) 

Day 7: Friday 05 October | Academic

2:00pm to 6:00pm - Academic Session

Venue: Ametista Conference Room at the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel

Day 8: Saturday 06 October | Departure Day

For those delegates attending the Pan Europe Asia [email protected] as well, the Welcome Drinks hosted at the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel's Rooftop Terrace and Welcome Dinner Tapas Tour will be held this evening. Information and booking details will be sent to you separately. 

Book your activities

To book any of the above activities, please complete the Activity Registration Form that was emailed to you previously with the Social Agenda Release email. Please complete one form per delegate. If your accompanying person is also attending the conference as a delegate please ask them to complete the form that was emailed to their email address.

Please note that activities are non-refundable as we must adhere to the suppliers terms and conditions. Please ensure that you have adequate Travel Insurance - if you don't have this, then you can contact CPE Travel to purchase a policy.
