The 23rd Australasian Conference
15 - 22 August 2020
In 2020 we once again take our conference to the beautiful region of Perisher, which boasts the most reliable snow in all of Australia. With four massive ski areas - Perisher, Smiggins, Blue Cow and Guthega, providing a variety of terrains for all skiing levels, this is Australia's most popular ski destination and the largest alpine resort in the southern hemisphere.
Combined, there are 47 lifts covering 1,245 hectares. Perisher provides Australia's highest chairlift at 2034m with all lifts and runs well above the recognised natural snowline, a fact no other Australian snow field can boast. The largest grooming fleet in Australia complimented by snow making keeps the snow cover in tiptop condition.
For non-skiers, there is a plethora of activities available. A mecca for walkers, cross country and riders, take in the beautiful scenery and wildlife at a slower pace. In the evening, kick back within our choice of resort-style accommodation, or explore the fantastic range of restaurants and nightlife.
The destination of Perisher is a mere 2hrs 40 minutes from Canberra, and our conference will take place 71 years after the ACT was given its first federal representation (gaining a seat in the House of Representation).
